Mongolian Hot Pot / Stainless Shabu Shabu Pot w/Strainers #Ypot110

Mongolian Hot Pot
I have been using mine for years There are many recipes online that you can make. Its all about cooking at the table. I have given several as presents and am about to buy another now.My friends are very happy when they get a repeat invitation.

Lower quality than imagined
My wife is Asian and we spotted this online. We enjoyed many meals in restaurants over in Asia using these at the table. Unfortunately, in comparison, this item is truly low, low quality. Very thin metal... So thin we kinda worry it will melt or suffer some once heat is applied .

To be fair, we have yet to use this item, but simply from a 'feel' standpoint we feel this is definitely NOT worth the money. Better to go to a specialty shop to see and 'feel' the utility before you buy.

Oster 69483.07 Merton 7-Piece Cookware Set, Red

deceptive
Read the reviews prior to purchasing and figured it can't be as bad as the one star reviews say:IT IS.After the first time use the big pot is burnt on the inside, the rest of the pots have uncleanable scorch marks. The set is marketed as stainless steel, seriously doubt that claim,at best it is a kind of coated aluminum. You will know the minute you feel the weight of the package that you just got burnt:WAY TOO LIGHT.The product has a one year guarantee for defects in workmanship,it's clear that the pots will not be useable long before then.Rather than going through the hassel of trying to return this trash I'll cut my losses and give future buyers a heads up to stay away from this set.Better to purchase locally, where you can actually touch the merchandise and make sure it is what it says it is.

A 'Decent' cookware set but terrible durability.
I ordered this cookware set as a gift for my mother and expected it to be a good choice for a good price. At first, they worked like a charm, decent heat distribution, looked great, pretty much perfect aside from feeling a little to flimsy and light. However, the paint has started to peel right off the large pot, in a VERY noticeable way, after only a full week of use under normal usage conditions; without exceeding any guidelines outlined in the usage guide section of the information pamphlet included in the original packaging. While this defect could theoretically be just a small fluke in manufacturing, I would not recommend this product to anyone nor will I be purchasing another.

Makes Me Wanna
This set makes me wanna cook... It's very durable and the look is very stylish. I made rotel dip and I thought the cheese was going to stick, due to my poor judgement of cooking on a gas stove. But instead it was an easy cleanup. Loving this set, will recommend to any and everyone!!

Concept Houseware 12-Inch Heavy Professional Wok Lid, Aluminum

Nice mid weight lid
I am not using this for a wok, but as a cover when I am cooking on my commercial griddle.

Its a nice medium weight lid, that would work great with any application.

UPDATE: I ordered two more BOTH came without the knobs. Sent back for replacement and both came AGAIN without the knobs, so beware.

The lid without a knob
The lid came without a knob but a hole on top. Waited a long time and now I cannot use it for my cooking at all...

It's too big...
12-inch wok lid supposed to be slightly smaller than 12inches. This is a decent lid, but it's the exact same size as my 12-inch wok so doesn't sit right. It hits where the wok handle is and doesn't sit flush. Thin aluminum though as I was easily able to bend / cut it to fit right.

CFO%2D3SS%2D Electric Fondue Maker

WAAAY too big for two people. Attractive but has design issues...
We were borrowing my in-laws 40 year old fondue pot before we received this. I definitely prefer that one (Waring) to this one.

Good
1) Heats very quickly.
2) Very large capacity which is good if you have 4+ adults
3) Looks nice

Bad
1) Rubber feet are VERY fragile. One came off and the exposed screw scratched the table
2) Heats unevenly
3) Too big if it's just the two of you. Also with such a large capacity it takes 2 packages of cheese to get enough fondue to dip - but that's far more than 2 people would normally eat.
4) This thing is designed to boil several pints of oil for oil Fondue so it's way too powerful for cheese. As a result it cycles on and off, intermittently overheating and then cooling off.
5) Cord is way too short. It says you're NOT supposed to use an extension, but who has an outlet within 16" inches of their dinner table?

If you've found this review helpful, or have questions/comments, please...

I love this fondue pot so much, I'm here to purchase a second one!
I recieved this for a Mothers Day gift and we used it side by side with my Mom's old Sterno pot. Well, I can hands down say that I will never own a sterno pot, electric is definitely the way to go and this is an excellent model. We had two groups of three, one using this pot and the other using the sterno pot. The sterno group was afraid they were going to starve ;)

This is really my first foray into fonduing and I am sure there are many really good cookbooks out there. But I treated myself to the Melting Pot's cookbook Dip Into Something Different: A Collection of Recipes from Our Fondue Pot to Yours and it has several alternatives to the oil fondue that are delightful and make this an appliance we use at least once a week.

Pros:
1. Heats quickly and evenly. Thicker fondues (such as chocolate and cheese) need to be stirred as they heat. The directions indicate which settings to...

Fondue pot
The item was exactly what I expected and less expensive than what the bride registered for. Perfect quality and absolutely wonderful gift!

Cooking & Serving Berber Tangia

Great cooking pot
I love this tagine, I've used it in the oven and bought a clay brazier to use it outside. Didn't try it on the stove with a diffuser, don't want it to break. It's a perfect size for 2-4 people, cleans easily inside, and cooks food really tender. Highly recommended!

Dissatisfied
This item was received the next day. I can't fault the merchant on shipping. It was as prompt as one could expect. Thought it helped that the distance between my home and the seller's location is less than 100 miles.

The above acknowledged, the product is inferior. I seasoned it as directed and cared for it in the recommended manner. Nowhere in the accompanying information was there made mention that the item should not be refrigerated to store what had been cooked in it. I used it 3 times and did refrigerate after taking care to bring the food it to room temperature. It sat on the counter for at least 3 hours.)

Upon finishing the dish the next day, I washed it as usual and didn't immediately notice anything unusual. Upon taking it out to use it several days later, I noticed there were several hairline cracks on the unglazed underside of the tangia. (The lid is glazed on both sides, however the outside of the bottom is not. Upon further examination, it...

Cooking the traditional way!
I love cooking with earthenware; it makes a huge difference for slow cooking. It also makes cooking in general so much more fun to have such beautiful, handcrafted, tradtional cooking vessels.
