Design flaw
This thermometer works, but the battery tends to pop out of place. I keep it in an apron pocket and the battery holder loosens so it doesn't register a temp. Next time I'll go for the more expensive product.
Seems to Work
I bought this thing out of curiosity. I am always overcooking my food as I am paranoid about eating undercooked meat. If this thermometer is right (seems to be), I think I can shave a few minutes off my cooking time. :)
