Round 5 qt. Cocotte in Cherry

It's great
great cooking pot. easy to cook, stew, or make soup. handy. This is a very great classic pot that will make your meal so much more delicious

This pot is the Bomb! Cherry color is AMAZING!!!
I bought a 9 Quart, round Staub, in Basil and the green color is very pretty.
The 9 quart is VERY heavy, if you are not super strong, think about
lifting that pot out of a low oven, filled with food!

I wanted a smaller pot and looked at Staub pots, trying to decide~ for 2 months!

I narrowed it down to this beautiful Staub pot in color "Cherry"! It
arrived and my husband and I lifted it out of the packaging
and both stopped breathing, it was so gorgeous!!! The finish is
two shades of red. It is like my little red corvette in the kitchen!!

The first dish that I made in it was Chicken tikka masala
from Cooks Illustrated. It was amazing! Both the pot and the recipe!
If you plan on making the dish, order a wonderful gramm masala from a
good spice place!

I can't wait to create more wonderful meals for my husband
and myself in this gorgeous pot!! We are thrilled with the look and performance...

Old Mountain Pre Seasoned 10112 8 Quart Dutch Oven with Dome Lid and Spiral Bail Handle

Poorly cast
Cast iron pot is acceptable for its price. Poorly cast, rough, thin and uneven. It would not be useful for cooking. I would not have bought this if I had seen it first.

pot
This pot was just much too heavy for me. I gave it to my son. Maybe if it had a different handle it might have been easier. I gave it a 3 because it's a good pot just too heavy for me.

Oval 7 qt. Cocotte in Dark Blue

Fabulous pot, extremely poor packaging by Amazon
Anyone shopping for Staub knows it's a quality piece. We love Amazon and buy a lot here, but I would caution others not to buy this item from Amazon. The packaging was extremely bad, with nothing to prevent the lid from banging around inside the box. 1 thin piece of cardboard between the pot & the lid, but nothing to secure it. 1 strip of the air pillows next to the pot. Plenty of extra room in the box for the pot & lid to bounce around. I can't believe they packed it this way, it's totally unacceptable. The enamel on the lid is chipped and scratched.

It's GREAT!
This cocotte was exactly what I needed for roasting, making stews and soups. It is very, very well made. As soon as I received it, I made beef stew for a dinner party. It was a hit! The clean-up was easy..... I did research prior to purchasing and found Staub to be top-of-the-line....
